![]() youth VOICE is committed to ensuring all members have something recognisable in the form of recognised accreditation in order to evidence the value of members participating in our activities. In order to achieve this members have access to food hygiene, first aid and ICT training. These key life skills are focused on to enhance young people’s awareness of personal safety and have access to transferable skills leading on to employment. As we go about developing these programmes of work in 2004/05 youth VOICE will be aiming to ensure our members between the ages of 8 to 24 have all their certificates incorporated as part of a wider programme of achievement in the context of having recognised awards from schemes such Asdan, Duke of Edinburgh, OCN and Youth Achievement Awards. We believe this adds value to the individuals we work with, places value on the provision we offer and is in keeping with the department for education and skills recent moves to develop a diploma that also recognises young people extra curricular achievements. |
